2. What JobSpree Does

JobSpree helps candidates discover and manage job opportunities. The service may let you create an account, add a profile or CV, describe job preferences, receive matches, save or review roles, generate application materials, and receive emails related to your search.

3. Data We May Process

Account and Contact Data

  • Name, email address, login details, account settings, and communication preferences
  • Messages you send to JobSpree, feedback, support requests, and related correspondence

Profile, CV, and Career Data

  • CVs, LinkedIn or portfolio links, work history, education, skills, and project details
  • Job preferences such as roles, seniority, location, work setup, salary expectations, language requirements, visa status, availability, and deal-breakers
  • Generated or edited application materials, such as tailored CV sections or cover-letter drafts, if you use those features

Matching and Product Data

  • Matches, scores, saved jobs, viewed jobs, clicks, applications you track, and related product events
  • Internal notes or derived data used to keep your recommendations relevant

Email, Analytics, Cookies, and Technical Data

  • Email delivery and engagement data, such as whether a service email was delivered, opened, or clicked
  • Website and app analytics, such as pages visited, interactions, approximate location, device, browser, referrer, and campaign parameters
  • Cookies, local storage, consent preferences, IP address, log files, security events, and diagnostic data

  • To comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, security, and integrity of JobSpree and its users

5. Legal Bases Under GDPR

  • Contract performance, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: to provide the account, profile, matching, CV, email, and related service features you request.
  • Consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR: for optional cookies, optional marketing, and any feature where JobSpree asks for consent.
  • Legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: for security, fraud prevention, product improvement, basic analytics, and service administration, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR: where processing is required by applicable law.

6. Processors and Service Categories

JobSpree uses service providers where needed to operate the website and app. These providers process data only for defined purposes and may change over time. Relevant categories include:

  • Hosting, infrastructure, database, storage, and security providers
  • Authentication, email delivery, notification, and customer support tools
  • Analytics, consent, diagnostics, and error-monitoring tools
  • AI, parsing, matching, search, and document-processing tools
  • Payment or billing tools if paid features are introduced

7. Sharing and Transfers

JobSpree does not sell your personal data. Data may be shared with processors, legal or professional advisers, authorities where legally required, or another operator if the service is transferred or reorganized. If a feature involves sharing profile details with a third party in a way that requires your choice, JobSpree will ask where legally required.

Some processors may operate outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, JobSpree relies on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, data-processing agreements, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.

8. Retention

JobSpree keeps personal data only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

  • Account, profile, CV, preference, matching, and saved-job data is generally kept while your account is active or while needed to provide the service.
  • Email, analytics, log, diagnostic, and security data is generally kept for shorter operational periods unless needed for security, legal, or product-quality reasons.
  • Backups may retain data for a limited time after deletion before they rotate out.
  • Aggregated or anonymized data may be kept longer because it no longer identifies you.

Under GDPR and applicable data protection law, you may have the right to:

Terms of Service

14. Agreement to These Terms

By creating an account, signing in, moving an account to JobSpree, or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use JobSpree.

15. The JobSpree Service

JobSpree provides job-discovery, matching, profile, CV, application, and related career tools for candidates. Features may change, be added, be removed, or be paused as the product develops.

16. Your Account and Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for keeping your account access secure.
  • You should provide accurate information where it matters for matching, support, billing, or legal notices.
  • You may not impersonate someone else, misuse another person's data, or use JobSpree for unlawful purposes.
  • You may not interfere with JobSpree's systems, attempt unauthorized access, scrape the service, or abuse the product, emails, or infrastructure.

17. Job Information, AI Output, and Career Decisions

JobSpree may use automated systems or AI tools to parse information, explain matches, draft application materials, or support interview preparation. Job information, recommendations, scores, explanations, generated text, and other outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing information before relying on it, applying to a job, submitting application materials, or making career decisions.

JobSpree does not guarantee job availability, interviews, offers, hiring outcomes, or that a role is suitable for you.

18. Your Content

You keep ownership of the content you provide, such as CVs, profile details, preferences, links, messages, and application materials. You give JobSpree permission to host, process, analyze, transform, display, and use that content as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.

19. Third-Party Services and Links

JobSpree may link to third-party websites, job boards, employers, tools, or services. Those third parties are responsible for their own content, availability, terms, and privacy practices.

20. Paid Features

JobSpree may introduce paid features. If that happens, pricing, billing terms, cancellation rules, and any additional payment terms will be shown before purchase.

21. Suspension, Deletion, and Changes

You can stop using JobSpree or request account deletion. JobSpree may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, prevent abuse, or enforce these terms. JobSpree may update these terms as the service changes; the latest version will be published on this page.

22. Disclaimers and Liability

JobSpree is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, JobSpree is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, or business interruption. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot be limited under applicable law.
